This week was a milestone. It involved a lot of code reviewing, refactoring, and testing. After much fixing, I was finally able to land my first patch in the Instantbird source tree. Now that my plug-in is available to users of nightly Instantbird builds, I am able to get more user testing done in order to find issues I missed during development.
I am very proud of how far I was able to come in this short amount of time. I must give many thanks to my mentor Patrick, as well as the Instantbird community, for helping me come so far so quickly. But this isn’t the end. I still have some extra frills to add to the plug-in to make it complete, and of course, I need to be ready for any issues that crop up during user testing.
